Custom SaaS Applications Designed And Built In House

Booking systems, customer portals, member accounts and internal tools. We design and build them to order, in your own Google Cloud project, and we can run them for you afterwards.

Applications From £8,500 · Scoping Sprint £1,950 Credited In Full · Managed Service From £199 A Month

What We Build

The Systems We Build To Order

Each one is scoped to the job it has to do and priced as a single fixed figure.

Booking And Scheduling Systems

Take appointments, quotes and orders directly, on availability and rules you set - with no marketplace commission on any booking. It is a full application with its own accounts and data, not a booking form bolted to a website.

  • Availability And Rules You Set
  • Direct Bookings, No Commission
  • In A Cloud Account You Own

Customer Portals And Member Accounts

A secure login where your customers see their own information - orders, documents, bookings and progress, served to each account.

  • Secure Customer Sign-In
  • Each Account Sees Its Own Data
  • Built Around Your Processes

Internal Tools And Dashboards

Software that replaces the spreadsheet your team has outgrown - one place where the numbers live, kept current for everyone at once.

  • Replaces The Outgrown Spreadsheet
  • One Source Of Truth
  • Live Dashboards And Reporting

Everything we build to order is one thing: a custom SaaS application. It runs in the browser, and where the job reaches a phone, a mobile app extends it and connects back to the same system. You get one quotation for all of it.

Most businesses should try the off-the-shelf tool first. It is cheaper, it is quicker, and for a lot of jobs it is the right answer. What it will not do is work the way you already work, hold your data in an account you own, or stop charging you more as you grow. When that costs you more than the software would, a custom application is worth building.

Not Sure What To Call It

Tell Us What It Needs To Do

Two sentences is plenty. We reply in writing with what we think it is, how we would build it and the total payable, with no sales call in between.

Websites

A Website Is Not This

Need a website? That is Valacia™, our one page website product: designed and generated by us, run by us, free to start. Accounts, bookings, payments and tools of your own are something else, and that is a custom SaaS application.

How A Project Runs

From A Description To Software You Own

Everything is quoted in writing before it becomes chargeable.

  1. Tell Us What It Needs To Do

Describe the job in your own words. We reply in writing with what we think it is, how we would build it and what it would cost. There is no sales call to get a price.

  2. The Scoping Sprint

You get a written specification and a fixed-price quotation, and you keep both whether or not you build with us. Go ahead within six months and the fee comes off the price of the application.

  3. We Build In Your Project

Your Google Cloud project is registered to your company and your Google billing account before the first line of code is written. We build inside it, under access you grant and can narrow or revoke at any time.

  4. Then You Run It, Or We Do

Management starts after the application is built and is priced separately. What each path involves is set out below.

The Mobile Extension

Your Application Can Reach A Phone Too

We do not quote a mobile app separately. It extends the application we build for you - the same accounts, the same data, the same bookings, reached from a pocket instead of a browser.

Installed Straight From The Browser

Everything we build is static-first, so your application can be installed on a phone directly from the browser. No app store, no review queue. For a lot of businesses that is the whole answer, and it costs far less than a native app.

A Native App Where It Earns It

When you need what only a native iOS or Android app can do, we design and build it as part of the same system, by the same team, and quote it with the rest of the work. We do not sell app development on its own: an app with no system behind it has no accounts to sign into.

How We Build It

Built On Google Firebase, In A Project You Own

Every application we build runs on Google Firebase, Google's application platform within Google Cloud, and it is built in your project rather than ours. Server-side functions have to live in the environment that owns them, so the project is yours from the first line of code. Hosting, those functions and a managed database sit together as one system.

Your Project, Your Google Account

Your application lives in a Firebase project inside a Google Cloud project registered to your company, under your own Google billing account. We set it up before the first line of code is written. Google bills you directly, at its own prices. What comes to us is our published fees: the application, the Scoping Sprint and, if we run it for you, the Managed Service.

Our Team, On Access You Control

Google Cloud controls access through IAM, its Identity and Access Management system. You grant our team the permissions we need to build and support your application, and you can review, narrow or revoke them at any time from your own Google account. Nothing of yours runs on infrastructure we control. You set the access, and you can take it back.

Why One Platform

We Know One Platform Well

We build on the platform we run our own software on every day. That is why we can put a fixed price in writing - there are no unknowns in the foundation.

Yours From The Start

The project, the code and the account are registered to your company before we start building, so there is no transfer day at the end. Handover is one change in your Google account: you narrow our access.

Bills Straight From Google

Your infrastructure is billed by Google, to you, at Google's own prices. We do not resell Google Cloud, so our quotation is our fee and the whole of it.

No Servers To Look After

Firebase is serverless, so Google runs the machines. There are no servers of your own to patch, license or replace.

Ownership And Exit

You Own What We Build

You own the intellectual property, the source code, the Google Cloud project and the billing account it runs under, all of it from day one. There is no exit fee. The project was always in your account. If we operate your application on the Managed Service you can end it at any time: our access is removed and everything keeps running exactly where it always was, in your project, under your account.

Pricing

What A Custom SaaS Application Costs

The scoping fixes the price. Then you pay for the application, and for the monthly service if we run it for you.

Step 01

Scoping Sprint

£1,950fixed, credited

A written specification and a fixed-price quotation you own, whether or not you build with us. Go ahead within six months and the full £1,950 is credited against your application. Another developer could build from it.

Then, Optionally

Managed Service

from £199/ month

Hosting, SSL, monitoring, managed backups, security patching, dependency updates and unlimited minor updates worked one at a time, for an application we operate in your own Google Cloud project under access you grant. The exact fee is set on your quotation, and Google bills your infrastructure to you directly.

What Is And Is Not Included

Management starts after the application is built, and it is your choice. The Managed Service is ours, from £199 a month, with the exact fee set on your quotation and unlimited minor updates included, worked one at a time. If you would rather run it yourselves, you already own the project it runs in.

Websites are separate. They run on Valacia, our one page website product, priced on its own tiers from free.

The Managed Service runs while we operate your application, in your Google Cloud project, under access you grant, with the infrastructure billed to you directly by Google. It ends whenever you choose: our access is removed and your application keeps running where it always has, at no charge.

Minor updates are included in the Managed Service. New features and larger pieces of development are quoted and confirmed in writing before any chargeable work begins.

Every price is the total payable, and each figure is confirmed on your written quotation. The full wording is in our terms.

Do the arithmetic before you decide. Work out what the manual version costs you a month: the admin hours, the missed bookings, the commission. Then count the months an application takes to clear it. If you take bookings through a marketplace, our commission calculator does that part for you.

After It Is Built

Then You Choose Who Runs It

Building your application and running it are two decisions. They are priced separately. When it goes live you hand the running to us or keep it in house, and you can change your mind later, in either direction.

We Run It On The Managed Service

Your application stays in your own Google Cloud project and we operate it there, under the access you grant. Minor updates are included, worked one at a time in the order you send them. End it whenever you like. The application stays exactly where it is.

You Run It Yourselves

Some teams have their own developers. The application is already sitting in their project. We hand over the code, the configuration and the documentation, and narrow or remove our access when you ask. From that day the running of it is yours: monitoring, backups, updates and Google's bill. If you want us back for a specific piece of work, it is quoted per project.

Running your application is never bundled into the price of building it. The application is a fixed price agreed before any work begins. The Managed Service is a separate monthly fee, set on the same quotation and charged only from the month your application goes live.

Either way it is the same platform underneath. Valacia and every site it generates run on the shared Valacia Platform, and every custom SaaS application runs in a Google Cloud project of its own.

The Foundation

The Same Platform We Run Our Own Software On

Your application runs on the platform we already build, secure and run our own products on. We were on it first.

Built Static-First

Every application we build is static-first, with pre-rendered parts. Pages arrive already built, so the first load is quick wherever the user is, and the application itself runs behind them.

Built On Google Cloud

The same Google Cloud platform we run our own business on, not one we resell. Hosting and delivery sit on it, along with serverless functions for server-side work and a managed database with automatic backups. The same cloud sits behind every application we build and behind the mobile apps that extend them.

Isolated And UK-Region Enquiries

Your application is served from a global CDN with an edge presence in the UK, and anything submitted through its forms is processed in Google Cloud's London (UK) region. Every application we build runs in its own dedicated, isolated project and is never co-tenanted with anyone else.

This website is one of ours. It is built and run on exactly the stack above, and so is Valacia, our one page website product. Both are live now. The same team administers our own devices, sign-ins and mailboxes, and Linko Vectis Digital sets out how.

FAQ

Common Questions About Custom SaaS Development

Can You Build Our MVP?

Yes. An MVP is scoped like any other application: we agree the smallest version of the product that proves the idea, put a fixed price on it in writing, and build it in a Google Cloud project you own. The Scoping Sprint is made for this, and it gives you a written specification and a quotation you keep whether or not you build with us.

Do You Build SaaS Platforms?

We do. A platform is scoped and built like any other custom SaaS application. Whether the software serves your own team, your customers or subscribers of your own, it is designed and built in house on Google Cloud, in a project owned by you.

Can You Build In Our Own Google Cloud Environment?

That is the only way we build. Your application is built on Google Firebase, in a Firebase project inside a Google Cloud project your company owns, under your own Google billing account, from day one. Our team works under IAM permissions you grant, and you can review, narrow or revoke them at any time.

Why Do You Build On Google Firebase?

Because it is the platform we know most deeply, and our own software runs on it every day. One platform means one set of engineering habits proven in production: serverless hosting, functions and a managed database working as one system, no servers to patch, and a project that belongs to your company before any work begins. Knowing one platform that well is why we can put a fixed price in writing.

Do You Have To Run It For Us After It Is Built?

No. Running your application is a separate decision you make after it is built, and it is never bundled into the price of building it. If you want us to run it, that is the Managed Service, set as a separate monthly fee on the same quotation. If you would rather run it yourselves, we hand over the code, the configuration and the documentation, narrow or remove our access when you ask, and the application keeps running exactly where it is, at no charge. You can start on the Managed Service and stop later, or start without it and ask us to take it on.

What Counts As A Minor Update?

A change to something your application already does that one of our engineers can complete within about half a working day: wording and images, a field on a form, a price, a rate, an email template, a rule or a setting the application already uses, a column added to an existing report from data you already store, or something not working the way your quotation specified. There is no cap on how many you send - we work them one at a time, in the order they arrive, and tell you when to expect each one. Anything the application does not do yet is new work: a new feature, a new screen, a new connection to another system, or a change to how your data is structured. If a request turns out to be new work, we tell you before we start it and quote it. The full definition is in our terms.

Who Pays For The Google Cloud Infrastructure?

You do, directly to Google. Your application runs in your own Google Cloud project under your own Google billing account, so Google's charges for hosting, functions and data reach you at Google's own prices with no margin from us. Our fees are published and separate: the application, the Scoping Sprint and, if we operate it for you, the Managed Service. We also set up a budget alert and a spend cap in your project, so cost is caught and contained before it becomes a surprise.

Do We Own The Code?

Everything is yours: the intellectual property, the source code, the Google Cloud project and the billing account it runs under. None of it is licensed back to us.

Do You Build Websites?

Websites are Valacia, our one page website product, generated and run by us and free to start. What we build to order is the software behind a business: accounts, bookings, payments and internal tools.
